我认为您的机器上没有安装linux头，这就是为什么不可能构建vmnet模块。您必须安装标头，然后再试一次。

好吧，我今天晚上从4.0.3升级到4.0.4的时候也遇到了同样的问题。我发现的工作是首先从这个VMWare社区线程- http://communities.vmware.com/thread/344213下载修补程序。
解压缩它，然后在gedit中打开补丁模块3.2.0.sh。顶部将有三行文字：
fpatch=vmware3.2.0.patch
vmreqver=8.0.2
plreqver=4.0.2
您必须将plreqver=4.0.2更改为plreqver=4.0.4
然后，打开你的终端并运行
sudo ./patch-modules_3.2.0.sh
顺便提一句，保持该文件在手边，因为我发现在Ubuntu12.04中从4.0.2升级到4.0.3时，我不得不做同样的事情。但是，当您在下一次升级中再次尝试相同的内容时(例如，将plreqver更改为4.0.5并运行脚本)，它会说文件已经修补好了，并且无法工作。
要解决这个问题，您需要转到“/usr/lib/vmware/sudo/source/”文件夹，找到名为".patched“的隐藏文件，并删除它(最简单的选项是终端中的"sudo nautilus”，并通过文件夹结构进行搜索)。然后，它认为它还没有被修补，并再次做了这个过程。
